As you can see it doesn't have any "blow-by" at all, the high idle kicked off about 5 minutes ago and now idles at 600RPM and it has 565000km/371000miles. The whistling is the timing gears turning the injector pump gear. makes that noise around the Oil Fill.
Nothing, still stored away, have all the parts to restore it now, just no room to do it in.

@IDIDieselJohn
So, 8 months later, you did ?

This thing has 377k miles and still runs like a top! All original, valve covers have never even been off the engine, and... they leak like hell.
Body rotted off, but mechanically still going like new!

@IDIDieselJohn I have been running that in my Dodge gas 5.9 (standard HD formula) & for the last 9 years & I have in excess of 253k on this same stock motor. It's not a band aid but preventive maintenance.Provided your truck is in good shape, I would imagine your engine should last 3X longer or more if you use this You also don't need to change your oil, just swap the toilet paper w/Frantz system
If you have a worn engine though you can certainly help it & it's allot cheaper then a replacement.

I have no blow-by problems so no need wasting money on Lucas. Besides that's a temporary band-aid solution to a tired old engine.

@IDIDieselJohn The thicker the better. Change the viscosity & kiss blow by away, trust me.

Why would I use Lucas? And I run 15W40 in it.
IDIDieselJohn 7 months ago
pour in some Lucas HD stabilizer (for diesels) I'd put in 40% also run 15 40 or 20 50 only regardless of season (unless you reside in the Arctic.)

@IDIDieselJohn
Ok for the CRD system.
However i've no regulator at all on my Diesel engine.
it's an IDI and there is just a hose routing the blowby to the intake wich suck it.
i've called it because it was appropriate to name the positive pressure of the cranckcase and like it's just a pipe it sounded good for me.
But it's sound more sophisticated because of the regulator no ?
is there a valve or something ?

On a diesel it's not called a PCV. It's a CDR valve and is located behind under the air cleaner assembly.
This truck is retired and off the road and stored for winter now. It will be back home in spring. I am curious my self, so I will do a real blow by test on it.
