"to get a good tone, run your guitar through your rig...turn the dials...as you play the only thing that even deserves respect and love in your life" That's just me though (:

57's are ok for acoustic guitars, but it shouldn't be the first choice for anyone. throw up a condenser mic by the 12th fret and another one at the bridge would be ideal to get a full, clear, airy sound. 57's add a lot of color and they're better off in front of a cabinet or on drums.
