yea i went to check out the one in Raleigh, NC and was highly upset with the secular worldly songs that were played...however, they did play mostly Christian songs...
P.S. I'm not in college anymore, but I think I wanna go back. It's not something you can explain. You have to experience it for yourself! Go next year and try it. I dare you (ok that was a little corny, but seriously you should. It will be worth it...PROMISE!)
College students listen to that kind of music,Christian or not. So they are attracting you. You hear the song and say "hey I heard that song before and I like it. Hmm what's Campus Harvest?...Dare you to move?..oh i get it" It's not taking God's name in vain...It wasn't used in the song. It's all about daring you to move in Christ which is exactly what it did.
I was blessed! It's not about the band. The Every Nations Campus Minitries and others who put the event together were looking at the bigger picture...YOUNG COLLEGE STUDENTS and their walk with Christ. The song say's "Dare you to move" and that's what the advertisment is saying + Campus Harvest. They are daring you to take your relationship with Christ further. That's the message behing the advertisment.
It is upsetting that Campus Harvest is claiming whoever attends this event will be blessed by the prescence of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour by attending this event in which Switchfoot's music will be featured. How are Jesus and God yielded out of that equation. This would be taking the Lord's name in vain as well as holding up false God's. God wants us to guide ourselves actions in everything through his direct word. Are all of the members of Switchfoot believers in Jesus Christ?

It's not advertising Swithfoot as a Christian Band. However fans of theirs could see this and say "what's this all about?" And be drawn to Christ.
