Challenge to BibleOrTraditions: Seventh-day Adventist?

My challenge to BibleorTraditions to give proof that the last church age began in 1840. The Church at Laodicea.

There are a lot of assumptions thrown around in this video. First of all, Ellen White was born in 1827 - which would make her a mere 13 years old in 1840. Secondly, BibleOrTraditions says the era began around the time of 1830-1840, not 1840 specifically. He says this because of the introduction of atheistic materialism, Darwinism, Deism, and other such beliefs that encompassed man not relying on God for anything, and not having faith. And this is the description of the Laodicean Church.

@8307vince Your private interpretation of the Bible is as bad as the guess work of BibleOrTraditions. Such is the case when unlearned people take upon themselves to interpret the Bible with guess work. Please feel free to comment again when you mature theologically.

If "GOT" believes the gospel of Matthew was authored by the apostle Matthew, then he must show us how he knows this?

He has to trust Catholic Tradition on this point no-one else. Matthew doesn't say it was him who authored it, the Catholic Church says it was Matthew in the 2nd Century. So he trust the Church on this point but on nothing else, :D If it wasn't so sad it would be hysterical.

Some where there has to be a point of authority that speaks out and stops Hersey. It is not found in Protestant church. They can just believe what they want by what ever spirit guides them. GBU

The only thing CONCRETE here is the brick wall you've built around your mind! I see 2000 yrs of great triumph and virtue! @MrJhb211 Christ accused the jewish religious leaders for straying from the Law after their man-made traditions, does it ring a bell??? I'll apply this to BoT's interpretations too (after all, I'm not married to any church): Quite often Bible's prophecies and obscure passages are used to justify institutional behaviour. You took that passage from Zechariah (the accuser...) but I won't answer to vage, private contentions. Why overlook concrete historical facts? All is there for all to see.

@JaiBlueCave2 Millions of catholic will engage in war if goverments call for it, catholics will kill other catholics. Surely the Vatican will have a say, but if catholics were really the church established by Christ they will love their fellows. Not the case of course! Ah, I forgot to say I'm not a SDA although I may agree with some videos of BoT. The genuine church should be just ordinary people trying to follow Jesus teachings and the scriptures, far away from wordly power . Good BYE!

@MrJhb211 Not being evasive, but you seem to imply that according to that prophecy Catholic church, despite all her terrible deeds, will stand the genuine church (sin-washed?). I don't agree at all! Rome mantains their adulterated doctrine, still lives amongst mundane riches, still have mundane business with kingdom (do u know how she behaved during Hitler rule?). Miles away from the humble Christ, the first church (for all their mistakes). (cont)

@JaiBlueCave2 not majored in History but learnt about Rome enough to leave a church based on symbols and pious rites and non-biblical traditions. 1stCent Church--deviation/apostasy--Ro­me, that's it!

@MrJhb211 can't elaborate on 190 characters, but you have more!/ prophecy interpretations: tricky & arbitrary business//1st Cent mistakes-"scandals" don't compare with later Rome's mundane politics.
