Lately I"ve been using a great little dogbone wrench to remove oil drain plugs. My wrench has a great little magnet in the neck of the wrench which makes it a convenient place to put the drain plug. The best advice I ever had was to always check to be sure the rubber seal on the filter came off, and always check under the vehicle after you're done when it's running to be sure there are no leaks. You only need to see a disaster once, then you never forget.

Thanks for the video, John. As someone who knows very little about cars, I found this pretty interesting. Now I know how to change my own oil.
