While touring the album Fear Of A Punk Planet, http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/fear-punk-planet-anniversary/id259070253, the Vandals where unceremoniously kicked off their tour supporting their heroes, the Buzzcocks. Their road manager, Frank, tried to extort some cash out of the band when after they paid a fine for some t-shirt shenanigans at the Canadian border.
The Vandals refused and were sent packing on Thanksgiving Day in Vancouver. Later they said it was because Warren did his "dollar trick" in front of a small child back stage. It wasn't true and drummer Mike Joyce (Smiths) was so impressed with the dollar trick that he gave Warren 5 dollars. The night we changed the sign at the RockCandy club we were asked to come back on the tour when the management found out that Goldenvoice Concerts was going to cancel one of the two nights scheduled at the Palace theater in Hollywood if the Vandals weren't on the bill. We loved touring with the Buzzcocks and we have no hard feelings toward them.

Their tour manager decided to try to get us to pay half their fine for bringing in merchandise that wasn't "brokered" properly at the border. We refused so they kicked us off the tour on Thanksgiving in Canada. When we talked to the band, they said it was because Warren did some trick with a champagne bottle back stage in front of children. It wasn't true, and Mike Joyce (Smiths/Buzzcocks drummer) gave Warren $5 for that trick he was so impressed. We eventually got back on the tour.
