Winter
I see beauty in nature sleeping
in a simple and quiet scene
while a chilly wind is blowing
freezing almost everything
The water in the stream is icy
scattered patches of tall brown grass
a shelter for tiny creatures
and a wandering old black cat
Winter cold but beautiful
holds a charm for young and old
if treasured dreams are kept alive
so will the richness of our soul
