"When you get something so easily, you're not gonna work as hard." Damn, i love that quote

I prefer Jordans era, just the look and feel of the NBA felt more exciting and looked better. The uniforms looked normal, players weren't too overly muscled. The all round aspect of the game featured more. Layups were more possible. The game could open up more inside the paint and from outside. Defense had more hussle.

@nitotech He did, but the shoes success came based off MJ's performance. He did'nt have no multi-million contract to start off with the Bulls, i believe he started off making around 700,000 a year or so, if i'm not mistaken. Did hype hit MJ yes, but c'mon now dog, if you followed MJ's career from early on, you got to admit the hype was well deserved. From the get go, this cat stepped right in and started single handily destroying the NBA, i remember.

@nitotech And lets keep it real, Michael Jordan made Nike!

@nitotech Except he was a two time college player of the year, NCAA champion and Olympic Gold medal winner (which he won as an amature) before Nike signed him. All the signs were there that this was a special player. Even the legendary coach, Bobby Knight was saying that Jordan could be the greatest player ever, as early as 1984. The only other player in that era that people were even talking about as being an alltime great before turning pro was Len Bias who died before he played his first NBA.
he's right on a sense that some NBA players don't work as hard when their get into the game so easily.

@MrRainonit and that same concept goes with anything else in life. anything handed to you, you'd most likely not value it in the same or close level as you would if it was earned.
