Reagan & Bush each address the nation after space shuttle disasters. The Bush speech writers took a few cues from the Reagan address.
Unfortunately for Bush, Reagan's time as an actor made him much better at reading lines on the teevee.

  • Reagan had more of a natural gift for speaking obviously but President Bush had a way of speaking that was emotional and heartfelt making you feel like he was down in the emotion of the moment with you.

  • Reagan could give a speech that could move a mountain. He was so eloquent.
