@MrPierdziel It might the be mind protecting itself from further suffering, don't dwell on her, you'll never truly forget her, especially if you try. Just remember the love she made you feel and accept that she is free. I've lost 8 people I was extremely close to so I know the feelings intimately.

@DeviousWizard No mate, many of them think that they can help people, say everything will be OK and to forget about it... It's horrible feeling, when you forget about someone close to you :( My girlfriend died few months ago... When I forgot her... it was... horrible...

it's like forget the most important things in life...
