  • where did you get that shiny toy guys wrote this?

  • @deadeye42 Two of the dudes from Shiny Toy Guns mentioned it in an interview awhile back, said they wrote the theme song for the movie and that the lead singer from Mars Volta sings on it. It's been mentioned somewhere else too, I think Mark Ruffalo might have also said that in an interview.

  • So if I understand Cedric correctly, this song isn't actually written by Shiny Toy Guns, and he's apparently confused as to why they are credited as such.

  • crazy how NONE of their albums get leaked.. proves that its possible

  • @ElishyahXII You can believe what you want. This isn't from the new album, this song is a couple years old.

  • What are they waiting for? Release the new album already!

  • @KeaBesnard Cedric just said that the mixing process and artwork processes still remain to be done, and it could take awhile. And I'll say it again, this song is NOT from the new album.

  • Mark's Master (feat. Cedric Bixler, Orlando Bloom, DJ Disk, Juliette Lewis, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez & Deantoni Parks) - burnt the dipthongs. weird soundtrack

  • @JefeElMilagro pretty sure they were talking about some other song.

  • the reason it doesnt sound like their normal music is because they didnt write this song

  • @alphaguitar2 That's just it; the consistent vibe isn't right to me. I think it's because of the vocals, usually they're very melodic, striking and emotional, but here they're kind of monotonous, the guitar is really not like Omar's usual style, the drums are also pretty damn boring compared to most TMV songs and yeah, the time sig is 6/8 all the way through and the accents are on typical beats...just a few things i think aren't like most TMV songs. Just doesn't have the same vibe either.

  • @andthemushrooms123 How so? I mean this song does have a consistent vibe whereas many (not all but many) of their other tunes may have a bit more of a dynamic flavor, more legroom so to speak. They still pay pretty close attention to the time sig with this song though, which is where most of the complexity stems from in their advanced line of music I'd say -the timing.

  • Yeah right, shiny toy guns aren't capable of this. This is the fucking volta.

  • The Mars Volta have nothing to do with when their album comes out. They said theyd like to put out a few a year but labels only let them put out one every one or two years.

  • @mahavishnuxc Somehow they always find good replacements.....will always miss pridgen's dreads though.

  • Fuck that, they're all great!

  • @andthemushrooms123 Dude, listen to Tremulant. Holy crap, it's good.
