Here's my latest composition which shall resemble any possible action scene throughout a martial arts movie, underlined by my synths.

  • Great! What movie is this picture taken from?

  • @neros77: Ah, this scene is taken from the movie "TC 2000" from '93 I guess, watched this movie a couple of years ago, very entertaining! :)

  • hey dude, whats the fm patch used at 0.50? its sick.

  • @mugabesunny: Oh, actually, this is a KORG E-piano patch, but you're right, it sounds like a digital *sysex patch from the Yamaha DX- series. ;)

OK nice man gotta check out the trailer for it :-) Cool old school synth!

  • Cheesy... but in a badass way!

  • @nintendoughfreak: Hehe, obviously it would have perfectly fit the movie "TC-2000" as I have watched it today again, pretty cool, the only person missing were Dolph, Don Johnson, Sascha Mitchell, Steven Segal, Gary Daniels and Van Damme to make this movie the ultimate martial arts movie. :D

  • @Soleilfreak Ok so I can't be 100 % accurate all the time it was just the first thought that came into my mind. I will just give in and say it is uniquely yours.

  • @nintendoughfreak: Really: Mark Shreeve? I guess you might get this idea because of the Korg M-1 and the electronic patches it provides the composer with so well. :)

I can imagine doing more tracks like this. I am currently watching "Talons of the Eagle" again and that typical early 90s bar and lounge scores are perfect. I'll try those out again and I also have many other great inspirations, only got into intense weightlifting with a workout buddy at the gym, but be patient: It will pay! :)

  • @55Chimeras: Funny that you mentioned "No Retreat, No Surrender III", I just watched the full movie the other day and indeed I was impressed how great the soundtrack is which has never been released supposedly! Gotta check that film out again for some OST analysis. :)
