Dearie me, where to start? Our story begins back in Spring of 2008. I was listening to Queen's "Seven Seas of Rhye" and I said, "What on earth are they saying?" I looked up the lyrics and much to my... insanity, we'll say - the lyrics seemed to fit Death Note... a little too well. (Methinks the creator of the show may have been listening to Queen while writing).

And thus began the longest video project I've ever done. I didn't want this to just be a quick video for the fun of it (like most of mine videos). I wanted this video to be taken seriously, to be remembered, and even to win prizes at conventions. I did planning, a lot of planning. I made a beta version (an offline edit using clips from the YouTube. As can be guessed, quality sucked, but it let me get a good idea of where I wanted to go). I spent my Christmas money to buy Adobe Premiere. The song came from the CD, and when we had the money, we bought the box sets of Death Note. I used the DVD Decrypter to rip the footage. I have done everything that the Org has ever complained at me to do. So have at you!

Now that we've gotten production out of the way, let us talk about the video itself. The song was written by Freddie Mercury (the lead singer of Queen) about a story that he made up as a kid. But as you'll notice, the lyrics fits Light Yagami very well. It's a song about a god come to claim his kingdom.

I'd also like to give special thanks to UMG for use of their music. You guys are the best.
