  • cheers dude! will do

  • it did for a while, i havent really got it sorted out yet.

i have to get the idle mixture right on my bike. when i had my pro cdi on, the bike kept cutting out when i stopped, i had a hard time keeping the bike going. so i removed the cdi for the old one and the problem was solved. i think the cdi does help, just make sure your bike is up and running properly first.

  • hiya mine wont go faster than 45(mph) is that unusualy slow??

  • @dannystar01 i try 17 front 36 back with ratio of 2.1, that gave alot of speed in the first three gears but lost in forth and completely dropped in fifth. originally i had a 17 front and 49 rear (i think) ive only ever been able to reach 50. i think there may be some device that limits its speed.

does the engine sound like it has more to go before top, mine does.

  • @dannystar01 @dannystar01 im having the same problem at the moment, mine wont go past 50mph

i will try my performance cdi at the weekend. hopefully that may help

what sprockets do you have on your bike, front and back

i have a 12 front and 36 back giving a final transmission ratio of 3, which is supposed to be ideal.

  • i think that changing the front sprocket to somthing lower will maybe give a little more top end. i am going to get either an 11 or 12. their only £4 on ebay. wait till i sort these things out, at least that way you can benefit from my spending £70 and not really improving anything. though, if you want a quick fix, then changing the front sprocket may help.

  • @ninjaman1138 if you take the plate of the end of the silencer and cut off about a inch of pipe you can get 3hp more and use 46 teeth on the rear and 12 front im geting a top end of about 65mph and set the valve clearance to 0.8mm for a further 4 hp mine has got around 19hp from the standard 11hp

Try calling ooracing for advice on tuning these types of engines.

They helped me out alot with my Monkey bike!

  • did the cdi work?

  • i did get one, i think its a dte8 or somthing. ill check it and get back to you. xian racing have gone bust so you cant get any of their bits any more. good thing really, i havent noticed that much change in the performance of the bike. keep an eye on rust on the bike. kill it as soon as possible. if you put a performance coil onthe bike remember to widen the gap in the spark plug, a larger spark requires a larger gap. i havent done this yet as im lazy!

  • did you get a new spark plug? if so what one and from where? thanks :)
