y when i do these tapping i get more dizzy?????

@Shereeda2202 Sometimes you may get dizzy just because the energy is moving around and releasing. If that happens while you're tapping, sitting up really straight with both feet on the floor, and then either tapping your toes or your heels on the floor gets you grounded again. I've had clients do that during a session if they get dizzy, and it seems to work. Also, making sure you're drinking enough water during the tapping is a good idea. Hope that's helpful!!

@downstream347 ooo so this is normal? ..well kinda normal? nothing is wrong with me? ..i used to do Tai Chi and during the breathing exercises I suddenly get anxious and panicky ...so I stopped... seems like every time I try to relax my body ..it tenses up more... Do you know why this might be happening?

@Shereeda2202 I think the dizziness from time to time is normal. From what I've seen, it gets better over time when you've been tapping for awhile. The anxiety and panic may be about something else. My understanding is that breathing exercises in general can stir up old feelings and traumas. In stressful or traumatic situations, we often hold our breath, so when we do breathing exercises, it can bring some of those old feelings to the surface.

hello downstream
Im kinda confused about this concept of therapy, so do u apply emotions to the phrases when u say it or do u simply jus tap and say them without much effort in thinking bout it?
thanks

Hello,
What seems to work best is to focus on the feelings as you tap, although after tapping for a little while, many people find that they just feel calmer and continue to say the words. It will work either way, but it works best if you begin by focusing on the feeling as you tap. Hope that's helpful.
Take care!
Susan :)
