  • the "glass bells" are really called cloud chamber bowls.

  • Yes, if you look through previous comments about this clip, the CC Bowls have been mentioned before as has Harry Partch. Anytime I do a program with this instrument, I invoke Harry Partch as one of the main influences on my work.

  • Yes, these are modeled after Harry Partch's Cloud Chamber Bowls. I consider him to be one of the patron saints of my own work with one of a kind instruments.

    no the glass bells are really good. even in electronic dance music. Bet you dont recognize them when you here them.

  • I've never seen a gong drum like that. I've only seen the drumset ones. And I've never actually heard the glass bells before. Pretty neat!
