  • ......whiiiiich has nothing at all to do with music, except for the first part of your comment, unless the reason for you not being impressed is the fact that "there's nothing Southern about them anymore." That's a different discussion....I don't get it when people bring politics into discussion around music....does it really matter if a band is politically correct or not? I, for one, couldn't care less...if you sound good you sound good and that's all there is to it.

  • i remember hearing TROY STATE marching band back when i did colorguard for appling county high school in my 97-98 school year at that very high school. they one of my personal favorite college bands to listen to

OAS AAS LLS

  • But oh ladies and gentlemen, nothing the SOTS playing DIxie. Oh that's right they do not do that except for the ALUMNI. OH YEAH

  • lol who is that? is that the director or drum major

  • I'm right there in the pit! However, you can blame this performance year on Robert W. Smith.

  • realy this year the band sounds alot more blended then that year, like many bands you improve with the changin of drum majors and directors, i dont think mrs. ford was there that year cause ever since she has gone there the band sounds alot better.

WHEN YALL SEE KRYSTINA ORTIZ GIVE HER A HUG FOR ME

  • its so fascinating to hear the Fanfare develop over the years. Now in recent years we play it A LOT faster than previous years. I love the Fanfare no matter if its slow or fast! It's still THE Fanfare!

  • Isn't the drum major Doug Brasell or am I completly mistaken? (spelling may be off...) He taught my drum major camp at TSU in like 2002 and we learned these songs exactly. I LOVED doing Summertime :) Ya...nerdy but true...

  • my husband was in the drum line that year! his name is ely if anyone else on here was on it then!!
