Here is a cartoon about the word STOP. The meaning of the word comes across loud and clear because of the context to which the word is used. Great bass playing in this skit too.

  • I have it in full color on an episode of "Unpaved", with a much better (less liny/crackly) film print, from 1970.

  • Interesting how the o became the same size as the other letters after he squashed them and yelled.. They won't pick on him again!

  • I don't know if this is a Sesame or an Electric company but I do remember seeing it as a kid...it was a demonstration of the word stop where a conductor tells someone to stop playing their violin over and over and he finally gets so mad he snaps his conductor's stick/baton in half...I want so bad to see that again

  • When that O yells stop at the end it reminds me of the Dairy Queen commercials with the mouth mascot.

  • I remember the music that accompanies this - nice bass tune indeed! Like the 'O' that keeps jumping up and down, I hope that the old Sesame Street memories never STOP coming!

  • Then again...what would happen if Collegehumour parodied this video? Would the 'S' or "P' would have killed the "O", just like the "I" in that Pixar ident parody?

  • Exacitactly.

  • So you mean the T was being a guilty bystander watching a fight?

  • Yeah, lol but the "T" didn 't try to STOP the "S" or "P" from hurting the "O".

  • My daughters just watched this, & 1 said the o should've left the t alone, since the t didn't hurt the o.... Yeah, good point!
