bought a mandarin ss from mate street motors in albury in 1986 the 253 & m21 were okay but I blew up countless banjo diffs & axels I then changed to a salsbury 3.36 ratio compared to the standard 3.08....I sold it to bury an original K code XY which I still own today...the HQ SS was my 1st car on P plates had alot of fun in that baby

These were built to see if a 4 door Monaro would sell. Based on a Belmont they were all 253, 4 speed. came in only 4 colours, white, infra red, ultra violet & lettuce alone. I almost got a ultra violet 1 as my first car as my neighbor was selling his but changed his mind at the last minute. Had to make do with a 202 kinga in the end, had that for 10 years and wish I still had it.
I'm not sure that they were available in white I never saw a white one, at least not at the time I bought mine,
