From the award winning series I co-created and produced, Stevie Ray Vaughn blistered the show with two songs on this episode and then asked if he could come back on a later show to play a duet with a then-unknown 19 year-old blind blues guitarist Jeff Healey. Legendary live performance on this series, no lip syncing, no retakes. It was the closest a viewer could come to being in the front row at an SRV bar performance.

  • What happened to Jeff? He was on the show playing with Stevie when they were playing Look At Little Sister.

  • @bluesrockfanatic Jeff only played one song. It was his first time ever on television but it launched him into national news the next day. It all happened so fast. Me, John Brunton and Judy Dryland put it together when Stevie arrived in town. They really only could rehearse one number, but it's memorable!

  • We saw Stevie Ray play at The Sydney Opera House. He said it was an honour to play there. We were honoured by his presence. An unbelievably good player.

  • Stevie was jawdropping amazing. You can watch guitar gymnists like petruchi, van halen, and Vai doing their scales at lightning speed but after a while it gets boring.

  • No guitar player can do what Stevie could with his ax!

  • @dannyh7676 yeah, SRV was known for the reverse headstock.. also the body clearly isn't upside down

  • @dannyh7676 Not upside down, you can tell by the top horn on the body. The guitar just has a reverse headstock.

  • guitar upside down to like jimi, nice!!

  • I'M NOT ONE SWEAR AT ALL... BUT jESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!

  • wish i could of seen the greatness that was ...SRV!!!

  • Stevie Ray, Thats all that needs to be said.
