  • @bjules954 theres a 2nd video look at it ..its about the same

  • i have a 96 ram with the 5.9 360 in it and i have 260 thousand mile on it, i still out run most GAS trucks, out pull most GAS trucks. and sounds better than ANY GAS truck!

  • @topjdawg7 thats what i like about my 360 it would out run most any gas truck new or old. Especially now that most trucks r pushing over 300 - 400 hp n u can still run with or beat on a lil 235hp 5.9 !!!

  • fuck it, im happy with my 5.9 with 177k on it, we need to work together as dodge ppl and beat fords in races

  • @jslack

The great thing about the 5.9 is its easy and cheap to modify unlike your hemi.. The 5.9 is a 30+ year old engine, I cant believe you even posted saying what you did you know nothing about these engines, and your 5.7 hemi BTW wouldnt stand a chance against a 5.9 with a few simple upgrades. Oh and dont say you can upgrade your 5.7 because you really cant, not for cheap

  • The RT with the 360 Magnum is geared for acceleration but sucks for top end. The hemi trucks are fast bastards as well. But they are also in a heavier truck. I had an Dakota RT and it was eating stock hemi's all day long off the line. It was also just a 3 speed and a fuel pig

  • @1ownjoo2

On street tires, spinning 305/50/20s BTW, I run 0-60 in 4.9s and ran a 13.40s @ 99 mph 1/4 mile pass. With the 2,800 stall 2.54 STR converter, 4.56 gears, and 265 grind Sidewinder cam it really didn't slow down that much pulling 2,500 lbs, 0-60 in 6.5 seconds tops.

  • @Fast355

I doubt it, considering stock for stock, the 5.9 is faster in 0-60 runs which on the road is all that matters. The HP and gearing is what makes the 5.7's quicker beyond that, because the 5.9 is built for lower end torque then the 5.7 is

My Hemi was upgraded on the cheap and it killed a moded 5.9 truck while pulling an unloaded 2,500 lbs tandem axle trailer. He had a moded S/ST truck and my 5.7 Hemi KILLED him.

  • my 318 would smoke most hemis. just wait until its built with a hp number close to that of brand new stock trucks. technology is good but also is used to hinder how much power goes to the wheels. like torque management and rev limiters

  • Having owned an '02 RCSB 5.9 Ram 1500 and now a '12 RCSB Hemi Ram 1500, I can honestly say the 5.9 just isn't in the same league stock. My 02 ran a 16.9 stock quarter, my new one runs a 14.4. THAT"S A HUGE DIFFERENCE.
