@sapy52 You can make the cap without the bumps. Work a half double crochet instead and it will turn out the same.

I am interested in making this for my step dad & his dreads for Christmas. Thanks for sharing! How can I upgrade this to a larger size for fitting a man?.

@thumbalina223 You will work more increase rounds, and more rounds to make the cap deeper.
This is nice, I just don't like the popcorn thing.. I think I'm going to attempt it with out it.
