  • Total genius, how clever to rescue this footage! Bob was a good friend of our family although I was quite young when I met him. .Ann

  • Being a Pelham ventriloquist puppet with a new youtube show it is fascinating to see the history. After being in a box in a garage for over a decade it's nice to bring this history back to life again. Thank you Mr. Pelham

  • Receiving the monthly magazine from pelhams was always such a joy. My brother and I used to give puppet shows at childrens parties. We had well over twenty puppets at one time. All gone now sadly. I think Mum threw them away: bad mistake!

  • Bimbo is a lovely clown - big Bimbo - SCARY!!!

  • Tremendous to see this rare interview.

  • I used to belong to the Pelham Puppet Club in the 1960s it was great. I still have all the magazines but no puppet anymore.

  • I remember seeing a super-size puppet exactly like this one in a department store Christmas display in the mid 50s. A notice next to it read 'Shake me GENTLY by the hand!" The kids just wouldn't do that - they thought it was hideous, which in all honesty it really was. Problem was with it being just too big! The normal size puppets of the same model got a completely different reaction. They loved 'em - amazing!

  • Wow, Thankyou so much for uploading this!! Where did you find it?! As a young pelham puppet collector, this is fascinating as I've never seen Bob Pelham on video or heard his voice before. What a great video - thankyou :-)
