Till then Hemanta Mukherjee monopolized that starting from Shap Mochan(1955). Very next year, Antony Firingee was released as Puja attractions. Anil Bagchi directed Manna Dey for Uttam kumar . From then to 1970 Mana Dey was reigned supreme. In 1970 R D Barman used Kishore Kumar for playback Of Uttam Kuma and In 1974 when Amanush was released, Kishore Kumar took up the baton from Manna Dey for playback of Uttam Kumar till his death in 1980. His last playback for the matinee idol was in the movie Ogo Badhu Sundari ...

Please don't share such wrong information here! This was not the first song of Manna Dey, that he sang for Uttam Kumar. In 1958, a film got released named "Goli Theke Rajpoth". There, Manna Dey sang the song "Lag lag lag bhelkir khela"; which was written by Subir Hazra and tuned by Sudhin Dasgupta. And 1958 should be treated "earlier" as 1966, isn't it?
