He also needs a foster/adopter. He is a big baby boy (Am. Bulldog mix 100 lbs) almost 3 yrs. old and full of love and kisses. Good with people, babies, and other dogs as long as they get along with him. He's not good with cats. He knows some commands, rides well in the car, is leash trained and is housetrained. He was poked and prodded at the vet and met many new people, yet despite the pain, he's so gentle.
Entropion is an inward rolling of the eyelid edges. It is very painful, as the eyelashes constantly rub against the cornea. If left untreated, entropion can lead to corneal scarring, erosion, ulceration, rupture and eventually blindness.
Surgery is tentatively set for Mon. April 18. The estimate for surgery is between $477 and $658. It's a complicated surgery and will take several hours. Vaccinations, fecal and heartworm test have not been done yet since at initial exam it wasn't known if funds could be raised for surgery and if a foster/adopter could be found for him after surgery.
