One of the Murderer's confession songs, sung by Bazzard, the hopeful young actor, searching for fame. He seemed so nice! One of the many possible endings in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" I had the pleasure and fortune to play Bazzard in a community theatre production of the show at Fourth Street Theater in Chesterton, Indiana.
"The Mystery of Edwin Drood" is a musical based on the unfinished Charles Dickens novel of the same name. It is written by Rupert Holmes, and was the first Broadway musical with multiple endings (determined by audience vote). Holmes received Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Original Score. The musical won five Tony Awards out of eleven nominations, including Best Musical.
