i think it's very simple what's happening, and preplanned. speculators are rasiing the price of oil on the cues of people like opec's president and goldman sachs inorder to sustain profits when in two years cars that run on batteries and hydrogen are released to the public. in a matter of 10 years, cars that average 60 to 100mpg will dominant the roads, and they need to raise concerns of supply issues. there's plenty of oil in the ground.
