Formé en 1994, IVY gagne une plus large reconnaissance pour leur chanson Worry About You qui est utilisée comme générique du feuilleton Kingdom Hospital de Stephen King et dans la série Les 4 400.
Schlesinger fait aussi partie du groupe Fountains of Wayne.
