This is part 8 and the final part of my Dubstep series in Ableton. In this video I explain what I have done to the track since part 7. I also briefly go over the mastering process and show two methods of turning your project into a file.

  • @eArtrash Isn't 32bit better?

  • @TheOfficialSemtrix if you're using 24bit samples, NO!

  • @eArtrash Oh right, aggressive.

  • @TheOfficialSemtrix Hardly.

  • came to learn how to render tracks not hear about your projects...

  • @JjoshBboyd Well then, numb-nuts - skip to 5:30 and remember the world does not revolve around you.

  • @lomainzz Yeah dude,I believe there is a use for higher settings..but for 99.9% of the time, we are working on tracks which are gonna be burned on a CD, uploaded to the internet etc and 44100hz 24 bit is perfect. If you render at a higher bit depth or sample rate - what you'll find is applications (like soundcloud for example) will re-encode the audio and you will actually lose quality (that wasnt really there) and youll end up with a shitter quality track than if you rendered at 24/44100 anyway

  • @eArtrash okay, sorry. you're totally right 441khz is the shit. i've just been having a hard time finding a detailed explanation of the exporting procedure.

every video i've watched people say, "so put it to this, and that etc" but no real explanation besides "that's what CD's use."

    so yeah, thanks.

also, is there any reason to use another sample rate/bit depth?
