the only ryan confidential ep never to be broadcast was the one with twink. twink was in very bad form the day of the interview. and when ryan asked her to what she thought of certain people, her ex-husband ex colleagues. twink exploded and launched a 2 hr verbal tirade. turned the air blue, did twink. and everytime they restarted the interview off went twink. and she phoned rte and demanded that the interview not be broadcast. and if it was they would be hearding from her lawyers.

Wogan and Byrne were our greatest broadcasters - Ireland has gone a bit two-faced now. Gerry was a gobshite last week but now because he's died, he was a saint. Neither Wogan nor Byrne could be described as a mouth. Having said that I listened to him every day. That says it all.

Gerry had a huge following, people lived their lives with Gerry & invited him in to their world & his each weekday morning. He probably didn't realised how much he will be missed & I think the nation will only realise how much we loved him now that he will no longer be on air. Gerry you were a diamond in the rough & now you are a diamond in the sky.
