  • Decent collection. The "jtk" being heavy is kind of a mystery to me though. I have two and they're not heavy. KYDEX is the thin plastic that most of the good props are made of and are vacuuformed over a buck. I buy alot of stuff from JTK still (have uhura's earpiece, metal mirror knife, and universal translator coming from him still) and I'm pretty sure he uses regular kydex. Is it heavy because of a 9v battery or is it resin?

Plaques look better by the way

  • @RedShirtDavid The john long with the stop watch I think is the most real communicator I own

  • @RedShirtDavid sorry about spelling, my spell ck doesn't work and my spelling sucks...lol

  • cool star trek collection

  • @RedShirtDavid chad did use just papper non working morie'

  • @RedShirtDavid 100% chad roadhose. the boxy look and all but the jtk still weights more. I have a coyle too. the long jong was built by dstien the stop watch was put in after but with battery my jtk is my heaviest

  • @jsf525

also, are you sure that some of your comms are chad roadhouse ones? I could be completely off base, but I had a chad roadhouse comm and it was completely incorrect. It was fat, had a chrome midplate, non brass lid, some electronics but cheap paper moire. Maybe it's a later more correct one by him? I couldn't see very closely but yours look a little too good to be like the chad roadhouse I had (and sold).

  • @RedShirtDavid thx I had all the plaques redone.

the JTK does have a working morie' but I dont think that makes a difference.

it is heaveyer then my chad's I thought it was because of the KYDEX because that's the only comm that I have made of that stuff. if it's the only resin comm ,this I don't know. I am not good telling the differnce between all these plasitc's...lol

all I do know, it is the heavest comm I have.

my rod.com is the lightest and junk. my john long with stop watch is best

  • @RobotOnLine now I have 5

  • @RobotOnLine I have 1 new in a box for sale.$650
