I still have one like that. I just looked, 6010D 7.2 volt with removable battery.700rpm Sounds just like that. And it has a flouresent light you can put the battery into (only have 1) Stamped 84 - 4 That must be April 1984. Great for light jobs.
We had a Makita just like that when I was a teenager. I was always forgetting to recharge the battery and had to end up using the older Black and Decker single speed drill. If it was a project out of reach of an extension cord I was out of luck till it recharged.

I got a Ridgid Cordless drill. Its the best drill I've ever used. I have a video of it too.
