It's well known lyrically Pac is not on the same level of Nas, but the key to Pac wasn't limited to lyrics (and Nas is my favorite), he defined the imagery of rap and made it his own so powerfully that he defined the next decade and counting of the rap genre. That is Pac's longevity, power and talent as a rapper, his ability to convey messages and cut his own style

Tupac is okay, but he is so overrated. Lyrically he's not all that. I would place him in my top 20, maybe. His flow was sloppy, his rhymes weren't all that creative or mind blowing. Yeah he had a lot of passion, had some deep tracks and what not,but that all represents personality. Not skill.
