  • thank you for being so MUSICAL and actually playing these amazing instrument - so sick of people just turning knobs and arps-love your posts! In your Prophet series, when the words come on the screen are those the factory patch names. I play organ and would like to buy one of these and know the sounds I am getting and would prfer to tweak as little as poosible and just play - I notice some nice moogish-oberheim sounds - are those presets?

  • @realguy640 Thanks - these are all presets, and the patch names are at the bottom of the screen.

  • I'm dangerously in danger of getting one of these dangerous things. Dangerous demos there, Keyboardwiz.

  • @stryker1999 Ha. I aim to please. :)

  • Keybrdwizrd , simpy put you are a legend. A legend in the truest sense of the word. Your skill, knowledge of the instrument, and passion for your art has inspired me to learn playing keys better. How do you still rate the prophet after so long with it? I have just bought a rack mounted edition to provide a better interface and adiitonal voices for my little tetra. There are lots of haters of this synth and it would be interesting to hear how you still rate it

  • @TheRustyPeppers Thanks for the kind words. In terms of the Prophet, I guess it depends upon how much I want "analog synthesizer type sounds" in my music. For that sort of stuff, the Prophet is great, as is the Moog LP. But as of late I have been much more wrapped up in the sounds of Omnisphere, MOTU Ethno, and the M3, creating more surreal filmscape sort of stuff. I just haven't been into "electronic music," and that's mostly what the analogs represent to me (for right or wrong).

  • Most Demo's are bad, because people can't play and they record with their mobile phones.

    Keybdwizrd does it properly! :D

  • 1:00 serious Oberheim sound

  • @keybdwizrd Hey Doc. Your Advice, I notice the "sizzleattackld" I believe sounds like a great, groovy moggish patch and with the tweaking- If I want that sound, for solos (analgoue) would you recommend this over the Phatty or even the digital TI - just that pre-set sounded awesome so it seems it can genrate so nice, spacey, groovy leads- can't afford a mini- -also liked your jazz fusion leads- is this the best board for under 2000 for those sounds?

  • Awesome demo! Some 25 years ago I owned a Prophet-600, and have forever regretted selling it.

  • @stryker1999 I just did LOL!! out 2 bones but boy am I excited!! :D

  • Oh cr*p.....I'm just getting my finances in order, then I had to stumble upon these amazing demo$ !! Oh nooooooo!!!! ;-)
