"When I die I'm going to Analog Heaven"

Tune made using just a Doepfer Dark Energy, an Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man and an FM radio.

The snare and hi hats were made by patching white noise from the radio into the the Dark Energy external input, which was processed by the filter and ADSR envelope.

The kick was made by patching the ADSR envelope into VCO frequency CV input.

Each track was played via midi from the sequencer and recorded individually. Once recorded no other processing was applied to the individual tracks. (There is a touch of limiting across the entire mix to control the overall level, but thats it.)

  • @Az00ra very, very beautiful music. Very warm. If you don't know them yet check out Holkham Drones by Luke Abbott and Triangle Folds by James Holden (the latter being made completely with a Doepfer A100 system)

  • @lebannerfan65 Cheers man. Loving Holkam Drones! :)

  • i have the saem radio as you :') ..btw whats it for?

  • @MCDEVVOMAN Hats and snare (See the description).

  • Great tune!

One question: is the Memory Man involved in the making of this deep evolving bass sound? Or is it just the Doepfer? If you could explain how you managed to come up with it, I would be very grateful!

Thank you and keep rocking the synths!

  • @DrJedd Um..Well the bass sound was supposed to be a pad really, but I guess it's come out more like bass. It's 3 tracks of dark energy (saw tooth wave), each playing one note of the chords, panned left, right and center. I played with the filter cutoff on each line as I recorded it. I think they did all have a bit of memory man on them as well, but for more of a reverb type vibe than delay.

    Cheers for everyones comments. :)
