Visit the website for a much more detailed explanation on how to build a degu cage !

Sorry for the stuttering...I am not used to making such videos.
I often found myself looking for words...and no, my voice does not sound the same.
The cheap digital camera I use, makes me sound like I have a bad cold : P

If you have any more questions about making a degu cage, dont be afraid to ask.
I will be glad to help.

Enjoy.
To those who asked me such questions in a pm; hope this answers more clearly.

  • Hello, i just build a new Degu cage. I have a 1 year old male degu , and i'm wondering if i can buy another one (male)

  • @yomike82

Yes, you really should get your degus one or two companions.

Degus are not meant to live by themselves. Introductions can be tricky, but it is often easier to introduce young degus to an older one. If you need tips to help introduce them correctly, let me know...

  • dude i cant find these double channel glass slider things ANYWHERE. Ive went to lowes, Westlake ACE hardware, and Home Depot, and these people have never even heard of anything like that. i live in kansas in the US btw. please help, those are the last things i need to finish my degu cage. i even have the glass. PLEASE HELP!!! ):

  • @almostfullmost

The staff you have spoken to are simply very lazy. I know dozens of people in the USA who have built degu cages using the metal sliders and glass technique for the front of the cage.

Just Google "glass runners" or "double U channels" and you will find them in a second.

I know for a fact that Home Depot carry these...they are not at all uncommon.

Send me a PM if you still have trouble finding them. I will try to help locate a source.

  • hi again, i bought a new degu and i think they are fighting what should i do?

  • It would be nice if you could give me some tips.....i want to buy the Degu in a couple of days ;)

  • @johnwall00

A Degu is a rodent from the mountains of Chile.

They live in groups, are very sociable, need lots of room and make excellent and fun pets.
