This film looks at the struggle to build the ultimate car and follows the efforts of Richard Noble and his team to reach supersonic speeds in the Thrust SSC. But the first speed test, staged in the Jordanian desert, is beset with technical problems and other difficulties stemming from the intense heat.

L'équipe de "Thrust SSC" et leur pilote Andy Green
qui ont réalisé 763mph, c'est à dire 1149km/h, soit Mach 1.02, le 15 Octobre 1997
Vont tenter d'aller plus loin et plus vite encore...
Avec le véhicule "Bloodhound SSC rocket car",
ils viennent de ce donner comme objectif... 1000mph c'est à dire 1610km/h, soit Mach 1.44...
Alors, en route pour 1,44 fois la vitesse du son en véhicule terre...
