The name Devils Tower conjures up all kinds of stereotypes and music categorizing... but don't be fooled. This band is not about Satanism; Devils Tower is about aggressive music - stage presence; an assault on the senses. They're about talent and a passion for the music that can only rightly be compared to an addiction. Founders, lead guitarist PJ & vocalist James Buhs, envisioned a band that would write, produce and market their own unique version of metal music, always staying true to the art, never sacrificing the music for money, prestige or fame.

The band from Vancouver BC Canada are as tight and together as any group around. Years of perfecting their instruments have produced incredible players. PJ, lead guitar is a prime example of this on all of the lead tracks on their album Rhythm Brutality. Speed, precision and crunchy riffs are three things that first come to mind. Scott Aquino on drums is aggressive and solid filling out the huge sound. The lyrics, credited mostly to their lead vocalist, James Buhs, are raw and uncompromising. Inspired by the evils of the past and life's most agonizing trials - death, love and pain. James sings each song with every ounce of energy, thrilling the audience with high pitched wails and low growls.

The band placed 1st in Vancouver's Battle of the Bands - draping their shadow over 68 other groups. One of their most notable successes followed with a 2nd place finish out of 650 bands which competed from across BC & Alberta. Devils Towers placement proved how transcendent their music was, being the only metal band to place in a decade.
