The Bungee Rings were more difficult to load, even with the 'shoe-horn' tool to stretch them over the pins... but they had the most resistance from the start of the press/movement. I liked them a lot, and replacement was inexpensive...under ten bucks a piece a believe. Can you believe that? The first machines also were perfectly 90 degrees, which why I prefer my old machine over my newer one. Bent to a 93 degree angle changed it's functionality enough for to prefer the older one.
