And to think I knew Allan (we knew him as Wee Allan then) when he first started playing, probably about 9 years old. His sister Ingrid was then taking clarsach lessons from my ex, and his mother played guitar and sang in a band I played in (Sound Of Sleat, Western Highlands, mid-80s.) What a wonderful musical family!

Aaaaaaah...the musical ties. Very, very strong, I think. What beauty!
These are the Highland sessions, btw, not the Transatlantic. Were there were DVDs of both!

DVD of the Transatlantic Sessions 3 due out in December.
A "best of" is likely to be released next year for series 1 & 2 - I don't think the film makers can get permission for a full release.
I think it unlikely that "Highland Sessions" will be released on DVD. Both Highland and Transatlantic Sessions made by same company with TS3 and HS made in same location at Killiecrankie, Scotland - easy for viewers to get confused.
