This is a track we've wanted to record again for some time. It first appeared as a live track in 1983 on 'The Official Bootleg' which was only ever released on cassette tape (remember them??). The following year it was released as the B side of our first single with 'Seven Light Years'.
In 1985 it was included on 'Hawkwind, Friends & Relations 3' and another live version was included on our video 'Underground Zerø Live' in 1987. It was to be the title track on our ill-fated album 'Hunting Dogs' around 1986.
The studio version was released again on 'The Best of Hawkwind, Friends & Relations' in 1988 and yet again in 2001 on the CD version.
The same recording was released on the unnoficial Black Rose CD, 'Never Reach The Stars +' in 2005.
It was included in the live set throughout the '80s and '90s but was not included in our gigs throughout the 2000s. Hopefully it will be included in future sets.
This is the first time it has been recorded in the studio since the 1984 version and the video is of the actual recording session.
It's another example of fine camerawork by Gerard Giorgi-Coll.
The sound track will be available as a free download from our website - www.undergroundzero.co.uk
This one's for Neil and Marie!
Play it LOUD!
Awesome song, truly awesome, one of my all-time favorite songs. I often put it on the turntable and play it and now I can take it with me wherever i go and play it loud... :)

Wow. Thanks to you all. I only ever had the version I taped off the Friday Rock SHow and that tape died years ago. All hail the internet. I can't describe the prickling on the back of my neck when I heard the opening strains for the first time in at least 20 years. Awesome to see you. All the best.
