The T.C. Williams High School women's crew team is lead by its determined coach Dee Campbell. As he teaches them to row with grace and abandon, the crew dreams of winning a national championship with each sunrise row. Gold medals aside, it is the life lessons that strengthens their character and fills their hearts.
The film raises awareness about the monumental strides made by Title IX - the 1972 law that prohibits sexual discrimination in any educational program or activity within federally funded institutions. In 1974, T.C. Williams High School led the charge by fully supporting women's crew. Coach Dee Campbell founded the program and dedicated his life to instilling the passion of rowing to two generations of women. The story is narrated by Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Dawes.
So did you guys go pro with this or what? Yeah, didn't think so...

Title IX didn't take football away from you - the fact that you sucked took it away. Any of the girls in this video could kick your stupid ass.

I'm taking summer crew this summer @ the Dee Campbell Rowing Center. And I plan to try out for crew this upcoming school year in 8th grade. I met Dee my first week when I was learning to row, and he is so nice!
