  • how much

  • sorry its no longer for sale my dad changed his mind

  • @ff8tapwned Looks like he came to his senses! I have two Yairi guitars that will never be sold and am always looking to add to my collection! I especially like the older Yairi models - back when a $500 Yairi sounded as good if not better than a $1500 Martin. Nowadays, a $2500 Yairi sounds just as good as a $2500 Martin.

  • @63stratoman Yeah he loves it, he bought it for £200 back in the 70's and thought it was better than a £12K Martin that he tried in London and that was in the 70's

  • I have a dy54 and a dy90. Nice guitars but totally different sound.

Why did you sell this guitar?

  • The guitar hasn't been sold its still hanging the the living room wall. Nobody wanted to buy it.

The reason my dad (the one whose playing) wanted to sell it was beacuse he simply doesn't play it anymore and wanted to sell it in order to fund buying a new guitar that he would use.

If you would like to know the Model number on this is YW400. And both me and my dad are pretty certain that the inside has been hansigned by K.Yairi as it has a pencil signiture inside the sound hole on the sticker.

  • Alvarez isn't even close to being a Yairi. Alvarez are junk, but are better then a Taylor. Now Taylor is the biggest piece of shit.

  • @63stratoman They are great, but are not in Martin,Santa Cruz,or Blueridge class. Yairi doesn't have the driving power as these guitars. That it takes for Bluegrass music.

  • @63stratoman You make no sense in your comment. Yairi are great sounding guitars. Back then and now a days also. I have a Dy84. I believe it is like 10 years old. It sounds great, but next to my 1992 HD-28, and my newer HD-16R LSH. That is a different story. They are great, but are not in Martin,Santa Cruz,or Blueridge. Yairi doesn't have the driving power as these guitars. That it takes for Bluegrass music.

  • @63stratoman its called inflation. Yairis are still 100% hand made and japanese > american pride in making things in my opinion. Nothing against martins or anytyhing... But I honestly like Taylors more than martins as far as AMerican guitars go anyways... Just my .02 THey are all great guitars. I love japanese products so i am partial but its all good. :P
