This is my VCE Media 3/4 SAT final product (featured in VCE Season of Excellence Top Screen & Top Designs) - it's about a girl called Jordan who opens up a computer program and suddenly is able to manipulate her world like editing a movie.

Hey I'm a year 12 media student this year and im just wandering how you did those amazing effects

I used Photoshop and Motion (it comes with Final Cut Pro) ... but mostly photoshop. The effects like erasing the dog and keeping old frames in shots were all done frame by frame in photoshop... erasing and masking. it was an absolute bitch to do but it worked out well. I used motion for the fireballs - 3D particle effects just key framed to fit with the live footage.
