It's taken me awhile but I've getting a smooth transition. At least I'm not ducking every time the hoop goes up and down now. Tips ~ have patience and keep playing. You can do this!
Chelsea ~ took me much longer than most, it seems. If you don't have a teacher, look on YouTube for a Corkscrew or 1st hand lift-up (others might call it something else...those are the only two names I know)... three things that really helped me finally get it ~ 1) do the hand movement over and over w/out the hoop 2) keep your hand very close to your body ~ or you'll be knocking yourself in the head w/the hoop 3) keep turning while doing it. Mostly? Have fun!
