A top-of-the-hour break on KQED in San Francisco, from December 1990. It is followed by the closing sequence of Mystery! One of the promos featured is for the station's local Murder on the Bay event, a tie-in with the Mystery! series, announcing the cruise for March 1991.

  • Did this include the PBS 3-D Glass Logo from "Barney & Friends" Season 1 Episodes?

  • That PBS ID is seen beginning at :46.

  • You're right! When in 1990?

  • This is from December 1990. The description will be returning soon.

  • I would watch Mystery! just for the Edward Gorey. The mysteries themselves bored me to death...well, scratch that.Hetty Winthrope was sometimes cool.

  • Why did they edit out that All-Seeing-Eye/moon that was in the background of the original intro?! /watch?v=rAmGsM4Dids (seen at :30)

Could it be that the Illuminati/NWO/Mobil Corp was being too obvious? ;)

Now that, my friends, is the real mystery!

  • When in rome

  • My idea of Heaven is an Edward Gorey landscape.

  • Great art work by who ever the creep was that drew this shit!

  • man... tv used to be awesome.

  • ouuu i think remember that!!!!!!!!!

  • One thing I've noticed by watching these is that a lot of details change from the beginning and closing credits. The eye is able to be seen at the beginning credits, but is covered by a tree in the closing credits. I've noticed many changes from hair color to gender changes in these intros. Very interesting.

  • Was that David Ogden Stiers throwing eggs in a tuxedo in that promo?

  • Ah... when KQED didn't suck.
