I've read that X-men and Magneto have teamed up against Apocalypse in the comics. In the Age of Apocalypse alternate time-line, Magneto (whose a hero in that timeline) actually kills Apocalypse.

It's been a long time. I haven't read the comic but I do remember watching the old Marvel X-Men cartoon from the 90's (back when the xmen cartoons were awesome). I don't really remembered how it all ended lol.

Magneto then decided to devote himself to Xavier's dream to honor his friend. However, Apocalypse does his evil much earlier and conquers North America. Magneto founds the X-men in this time and eventually kills Apocalypse, and because this was an alternate timeline he stays dead. Normally comic book characters are "killed" then just come back later. Either they just survived, it wasn't really them that was killed, or they really did die and get brought back to life.

Sounds fucked up lol. Thats what I like about Marvel, you never know what was going to happen next.
