El 23/1/10, en plena presentación de libro Faceboom en España, Facebook dio de baja los perfiles personales de Guillermo Otero, Fernanda Gaitán Broun y Juan Faerman (productor, webmaster y autor del libro, respectivamente), así como también la fanpage del libro. Ante los reclamos de censura, Facebook se mantuvo en silencio total durante semanas, hasta que luego de la salida de este video, la prensa internacional se hizo eco de la censura, lo cual provocó que Facebook diera marcha atrás con su prohibición a los perfiles (no así a la fanpage) declarando que todo se había tratado de "un error" :-S
Sin embargo, el mensaje continuaba con la amenaza de que, si el libro volvía a ser promocionado dentro de la red, se volverían a dar de baja los perfiles.
Como respuesta a ese mensaje se le informó a Facebook que el grupo cuestionado no había sido creado por los damnificados sino por un fan, ante lo cual FB, ya sin argumentos para sostener la medida y ante el temor de una nueva oleada de protestas, rehabilitó también la fanpage, dejando en evidencia que todo se había tratado de una represalia en forma de censura y no un reclamo por una supuesta infracción del grupo.

On january 23th 2010, meanwhile the Faceboom book was being launched in Spain, Facebook disabled the personal profiles of Guillermo Otero, Fernanda Gaitán Broun and Juan Faerman (producer, webmaster y author of the book, respectively), as well as the book´s fanpage.
Before the censorship claims, Facebook remained silent for weeks, until the release of the first version of this video, which generated an intense worldwide press uproar. This made Facebook back down its censorship on the profiles (but not the fanpage) stating that everything was "a mistake".
Nevertheless, the email also threatened Otero, Gaitán and Faerman warning that if the book was promoted again within Facebook, the "mistake" would be repeated.
As in answer to that Facebook was informed that the fanpage that supposedly infringed FB terms wasn´t been created by the owners of the profiles but by a true fan FB, now without any alibi to sustain the measure and afraid of another protest uproar, restored also the fanpage, leaving in evidence that everything was clearly retalliaton and censorship without the doubtful reasons they provided.
