This is the buzzing phase, imagine this at 3 a.m.!

This fan runs day and night five or six times an hour. It is less than four metres from our home and the intrusion and lack of sleep is driving us CRAZY!!

The owners of Gurnard Deli have been served a Noise Abatement Order by the Isle of Wight Council's Environmental Health Department. But so far the fan is still turning . . .

  • @acnfanmanin REMOVE ME FROM YOUR BLOCKLIST NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And the one you call the buzzing phrase it's when it is defrosting.

  • Of course it could run any time, it's up to the owner when to turn it on don't you know anything about AC.

  • See my video above which shows my unit which is inverter driven. The unit above is an older LG unit and has a fixed speed compressor that runs at full speed all the time.

My unit has an inverter compressor which is very quiet even when running at full speed and you cannot hear it over the traffic.

Have you managed to get things sorted?

  • its whats called defrost mode, you can tell by all the steem and that buzzing noise+the fan stops. as annoying as it seems its supposed to do that.

  • is the phase supposed to be buzzing? if not contact their house or something :P

  • Aren't you tempted to poke a screwdriver into it?
