@themgmt420 so like the disc would read, you would play, then before it loads it would disconnect you, than it would connect when you went to the dashboard?

Ok i have a problem!!! i tried everything took it apart etc. so i decided to replace the whole cd drive with another one from a red ringed xbox and once i put that one in it read the disk but then!!!!! it disconnects me from xbox live as if i were getting an update and then kicks me right back to the Dashboard. This is Pretty damn weird to me and i was wondering if anyone of you NAGGERS could help.

read the 2 comments below, and i would sell the slim and get a phat one cuz they are MUCH easier to mod, and hotswap.
